Hospice Care
Providers

In medieval times a hospice was a place where travelers or the ill could find a place of rest, comfort and respite. Today, the modern hospice offers comfort and care to those who face life-threatening illness. Hospice is no longer a place, it is a concept of care for patients and their families that can be provided in any setting.

Hospice care neither postpones nor hastens death. Rather than trying to cure, hospice care emphasizes palliative, or comfort, care. Professional medical experts offer the highest quality symptom and pain relief. They comfort the dying while giving both the patient and the family emotional comfort. Spiritual support is offered as wanted. Trained volunteers can bring respite care and support for both the patient and the family.
